United Soccer Alliance is excited to welcome Nawal Gurung to our soccer family as the UPSL Men’s Head Coach.
Nawal Gurung is a UEFA-licensed soccer coach and performance specialist with international experience across the U.K., U.S., and Nepal. Known for his detailed, modern approach to player development, Nawal has worked with athletes from academy to professional, collegiate, and international levels — focusing on bridging technical, tactical, and physical performance.
Originally from the U.K., Nawal began his career with Fulham F.C., where he was exposed to elite Premier League coaching environments and high-performance standards. He later expanded his coaching journey to the United States, contributing to programs at Jacksonville University, where he was part of a league and playoff-winning season, and within UPSL-level clubs, while leading player performance initiatives through his company, Premier Level Performance.
Internationally, Nawal has also worked with the Nepal U23 team, providing coaching, high-performance, and return-to-play support — further enriching his global perspective on coaching and athlete development.
Holding a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, a BSc in Sports Therapy, along with certifications in Strength & Conditioning and Return-to-Play, he combines on-field coaching expertise with sports science precision. His sessions emphasize clarity, consistency, and competitiveness — developing players who not only play but truly understand the game.
