Update #7 – May 8, 2020
Evaluation and Registration Update
Dear USA-Clay County Soccer Family,
We hope that you are well! During this time, we wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation that we find ourselves in.
First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.
Our staff has been working hard to prepare for our return to play and have taken much precaution to ensure that we are able to complete our season in a safe and fun manner. In the near future we will be releasing summer schedules for all of our programs.
We have received many inquiries regarding signups for next season as well as requests for links to register for Premier and Academy Evaluations. Our focus has been on planning for our return to play and completing our current season.
Our Evaluations and Registrations for the 2020-21 season will be conducted in a manner not to conflict with the remainder of the current season and will take place once we resume play. The links will be sent out shortly in order for us to begin preparing for next season.
Thank you for your continued patience during this trying time. We look forward to seeing you on the fields soon!
Best regards,
Clay County Soccer Club
Update #6 – April 28, 2020
Dear Clay County – United Soccer Alliance Parents and Players,
We hope that you are safe and well during this time of uncertainty. Over the past 45 years, we have been profoundly grateful to be in the heart of our community and if there is anything that we can do to support you during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
As we are sure that you are aware as a non profit 501(c)3, we are not exempt from the effects that this virus has caused economically. There are fixed costs associated with running our organization, many of them are paid prior to the season commencing. In addition, we are tasked with the challenge of continuing to maintain our facilities and fields during this time away from the game.
We are acutely aware of the financial implications of COVID-19 and the stress that it has placed on many families. Our goal is to complete the season, just with a delayed re-start and we intend to work with Governing Bodies to assist families that are unable to compete when we return to play.
While we are not able to be out on the fields, our coaching staff has worked diligently to engage our players in every way possible; sending out workout packages, providing online training and even checking in via Zoom meetings.
In addition to this, they have been tirelessly working and re-working the Spring Schedule. At this point in time, we are confident that we will return to play in June while taking the necessary steps to ensure player safety. We may even be able to return to an adjusted practice prior to this date.
Our goal is to provide you with the schedule for the adjusted season prior to May 18th, in compliance with US Club Soccer we will not return to play prior to this date.
Thank you for your continued support as we navigate through these trying times.
Best regards,
Clay County Soccer Club – United Soccer Alliance

We have spent the past few days outlining a plan in the event this decision was necessary. We encourage all players to watch and participate in these workouts in order to stay fit and healthy during this down time.
We are highly determined to see this through and confident that we will be stronger – together. We are very grateful for the patience and understanding from all of our soccer families that have continued to support our organization through this critical time.
